Why Might You Need a Denture Repair?

Just like anything else, dentures experience wear and tear over time. Accidents can happen—a drop here, a broken false tooth there—and it's perfectly normal for them to need some repairs and maintenance. When dentures break, it’s usually a sign that they no longer fit like they used to.

Here are some of the most common problems you can have with your dentures:

Dentures Breaking or Chipping: Dropping your dentures or biting down on something hard can cause them to crack or break. Small accidents or normal usage can also chip the teeth in your dentures.

General Wear and Tear: Daily usage can gradually wear down your dentures, making them less effective. Just like teeth, dentures can wear down over time, depending on your lifestyle.

How Can Our Denture Repair Service Help?

At All Smiles Denture Clinic, we understand how important it is to have a fast denture repair service to get you back to normal as soon as possible.

Here’s how our denture repair process works and helps:

1) Damage Assessment

Bring your damaged dentures to our clinic; our experienced team will examine them; then, we will explain and discuss the best denture repair options with you.

2) Choosing Your Denture Repair Option

Depending on the issue, we offer two types of denture repair services:

  • While You Wait Denture Repairs: For straightforward repairs, we can often fix your dentures while you wait in our reception area. This is a really fast denture repair service that will get you back to normal as soon as possible.

  • Same-Day Denture Repairs: More complex repairs might require you to leave your dentures with us for a few hours. You'll drop them off in the morning and pick them up later that day.

3) The Denture Repairs Estimate & Cost

Denture repairs start at $150. The exact cost will vary depending on the extent of the damage and the materials needed to restore them to their best condition. Don’t worry - we’ll ALWAYS provide you with a clear estimate before any work begins. Then, you pay.

4) Enjoying Your Repaired Dentures

Once the repairs are complete, we'll ensure they fit comfortably and function properly. You'll leave our clinic with your smile restored and the confidence to enjoy life to the fullest.

What Is a Denture Reline?

Our bodies change over time, and sometimes that means your dentures might not fit as well as they used to. A denture reline is like a gentle adjustment, reshaping the inside of your dentures so they feel comfortable and secure again.

Types of Denture Relines

At All Smiles Denture Clinic, we offer both soft denture relines and hard denture relines. Here is how both work and what the benefits of each are:

  • Soft Denture Reline: A softer, more pliable material is added to the denture base, offering more comfort for sensitive gums. Generally, soft relines need to be replaced more often than hard relines, but they do provide a more gentle fit. Soft relines will usually last for 1 to 3 years.

  • Hard Denture Reline: Hard denture relines are more durable than soft relines. A harder material is used, which lasts longer and provides a more secure fit. This process involved two appointments, where some of the acrylic material was removed from the denture’s interior and replaced with a new layer of acrylic.

  • The first appointment is approximately 45 minutes.

  • And the second appointment is about 20 minutes.

If you’d like to find out more about denture relines, we go into detail about the different types and all of the benefits of denture relines in one of our recent blogs, Denture Relines: Everything You Need To Know
