Amazing humans...

Sometimes I'm blown away by the stories I hear in the surgery when making dentures for my patients. Today I had an ex police officer who went undercover in the 1970's and told some pretty amazing stories about a few dangerous situations he was in. Then I had a lady who grew up in Germany during the second world war who escaped from East to West Germany with absolutely nothing and worked in farms where she could and slept on the side of the road.

It sounds corny, but I'm going to say it. At All Smiles Denture Clinic, we don't just make your teeth. We love to get to know you and hear your stories. We are a friendly surgery, Tom & Darius are always good for a laugh and a good story, as well as making the best dentures not just in Buderim or Bribie Island but all of the Sunshine Coast!!!

Got a story to tell? I'd love to hear it!

Types of Dentures

Are there different types of dentures? How will I know which ones I need?

There are two types of dentures - removable partial dentures and full dentures. Darius will consult with you to determine which ones will work best for you

A removable partial denture attaches to your natural teeth with metal clasps or precision attachments. This means you may be able to keep some teeth.

A complete denture can be either "conventional" or "immediate". Immediate dentures are inserted right after your teeth have been extracted, so you won't be without teeth for any period of time.

"Conventional" dentures are made after your teeth have been removed and gums have healed. This can be anywhere from six to eight weeks after your teeth are taken out.

If you have any questions regarding a new or old denture, please feel free to phone us and speak to Darius or Tom, our Dental Prosthetists. We have two clinics, one in Buderim and one in Bribie Island.

Our phone number is 5476 8833, open Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm.

How to Take Care of your Dentures
image9.jpeg

This is one of our most common questions by our patients, Darius explains his recommendation:

How do I take care of my dentures?

You will need to brush your dentures daily, just like teeth, to ensure food and plaque is removed and to reduce the chance of stains. You can use a brush with soft bristles and soap or mild dishwashing liquid, toothpaste is too harsh and should be avoided.

When you remove your dentures, store them in soaking solution or water.

If you have any questions about full dentures, partial dentures, chrome dentures or any type of dentures, feel free to ring and speak with Darius at All Smiles Denture Clinic, at Buderim on 5476 8833 or Bribie Island 3410 0881.
